I'm honored to play #00 in Sarah DeLappe’s Pulitzer Prize–nominated play The Wolves—a fierce and fast-paced portrait of a girls’ indoor soccer team navigating adolescence, competition, and identity.
#00 is the team’s goalie—a position of pressure, precision, and isolation. While the others stretch, joke, and shout, she remains quiet. But her silence isn’t emptiness—it’s effort. It’s focus. It’s the weight of expectation pressing from within.
Behind her calm exterior is an intense inner world shaped by performance anxiety—a fear of failure that grips her just as tightly as her gloves. She’s fighting battles no one sees, and every breath she takes is part of her ritual to hold it all together.
This play captures the chaotic beauty of growing up, and in #00’s stillness, we hear the pulse of everything unspoken.
Catch me as #00 at South Hampton Cultural Center this September.
